Demand has increased in recent years. Today, investment continues and is expected to rise for several years to come. Since 2009, Argentina has been the largest biodiesel exporter in the world. This year the conversations start once again centered around climate financing. During this year, the different mechanisms to finance climate efforts in developing countries will dominate the agenda of most preliminary sessions towards COP16 in Cancun, Mexico. The National Renewable Energy Laboratory has confirmed that Global Solar Energy has achieved 13.2% efficiency on flexible copper-indium-gallium-(di)selenide photovoltaic modules.

These turbines take advantage of the current in the Gulf of Mexico to produce electricity. The plan, if proven to work, is to provide energy to Florida in the near future

Net metering cap in California
California is widely considered as the trendsetter, worldwide, in terms of renewable energy policy. AB32 is still considered key in the development of the green industry in the state. However, in terms of net metering, California is far from a trendsetter, even after the most recent increase from 2.5% to 5%.
